Barcelona could not land in Pamplona yesterday because of the fog, and so the team landed in Vitoria and went from their by coach for their King’s Cup game against Osasuna. There was even fog on the pitch during the game.Osasuna went ahead but Barça finally took control for the 1-2 result. It was 4-0 in the first leg. Goals from Alexis and Sergi Roberto for Barça and from Lekic for Osasuna. Fontás suffered an injury to knee ligaments.
It means that Barcelona and Real Madrid meet in the next round with the matches to be played on the Wednesdays 18th and 25th of January at 10pm.
In the other King’s Cup game on Thursday night, Athletic Club put four past Albacete and now meet Mallorca. The goals came from susaeta, Ander Herrera, Toquero and San José.
